Great example from Pickersgill on how people and place have become over saturated by technological devices. Take the device away and the people seem almost alien in their environment, strange hand and face gestures. In my opinion all the images have a cold aspect to them, a somewhat distant, voyeuristic aesthetic. They all so have a clear dark underlying message to them, which as a member of western consumerism society, we can read.
The comedic value to them is great, in particular this image below. Who knows what the bloke to left is reading but he looks very happy with it.
